During the Coronavirus crisis in Europe in early 2020, the Hungarian city of Szeged wanted to thank essential workers and residents for their support during a very difficult time, and give everyone a beacon of optimism and hope.
Working with MK Illumination Hungary, they transformed the structure surrounding the iconic “Anna–kút” (Anna’s fountain) in the heart of the city into a feast for the eyes.
24 red hearts decorated the structure, putting a smile on people’s faces by day. At night, the hearts lit up from within, turning the structure into a glowing symbol of gratitude and respect that could be seen from far and wide.
