A First for Enschede

The city of Enschede in the east of the country takes pride in the Twentsche Ros, the horse of Twente province. The stallion is the symbol of the city, but also of many of the town’s companies and importantly, the football club, FC Twente. MK Illumination created a magnificent 3D illuminated horse, rearing up on its hind legs, as the central decorative motif for the middle of Stadionplein, the square in front of the train station. The horse served as a spectacular welcome visitors coming into the city and locals, community representatives and the media came out in force to celebrate the switch-on ceremony.
