In 2013 we continued our support Essen Christmas Market with the development of its festive lighting display. Essen Christmas Market, which has been operating for 41 years, is one of Europe’s largest markets and attracts around five million visitors every year. For many years the highlight of the festive lighting scheme has been the brilliant Crown of Lights over Kennedyplatz, a canopy of 100,000 lights which hangs elegantly over shoppers as they browse the many stalls of the market. In 2013 we converted this display to energy-saving LEDs to improve its green credentials and overall efficiency.
