Shanghai’s Ruihong Tiandi has become known as a true innovator when it comes to creating light-filled experiences for visitors and shoppers and their spectacular “Zootopia” lighting display over the 2018 holiday season was combined animal and natural designs, both static and animated, that turned their indoor and outdoor spaces into an urban Eden where visitors could escape from the busy-ness of the city and tap into nature without heading for the country.
Three mini-worlds were custom-designed and manufactured in our Chinese production facility combined light and crystalline glass. These worlds were placed at intervals throughout the center, which attracted shoppers, encouraged visitor flow and the taking of photos.
Outdoors, the nearly 8-meter high interactive “Tree of Hope”caused a stir with passersby, and the over-sized reindeer, standing at 6 meterswas a popular stop for visitors of all ages who had great fun pressing a button and watching the light sculpture’s nose light up red. A pair of almost life-sized giraffe, mother and child, added a fairy tale touch to the outdoor areas.
All in all, Zootopia was a festive display that not only put a smile on the faces of visitors, but that also helped to direct visitor flow and generate media interest and engagement in local press and through online channels like social media thanks to visitors taking and sharing photos online.
